Doris Jean Kidney, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on November 12, 2024. Doris was born on March 25, 1945, to parents Herman Forest West and Fannie Novella Robinson, in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Doris married Bobby Joe Davison on November 12, 1960. Their only child, Curtis Edward Davison, was born on October 27. 1962. She found joy and fulfillment as a wife and mother during this time. She enjoyed anything challenging. She learned to paint very well, was very active in her church and loved her church family, and ziplined at the age of 78 years old.
After divorcing her first husband, Doris later married Arthur Judson Kidney Sr. on July 7, 1981. Doris had two step-children from this marriage, Arthur Judson Kidney Jr. and John Arlington Kidney. Doris continued her singing career, recording studio material and performing live throughout the southeast.
Doris is pre-deceased by her first husband. She is survived by her son Curtis Davison and his wife, Kathy Davison, and their children and grandchildren, her second husband Arthur Kidney Sr. and his children, Jud Kidney and his wife Linda Kidney and Jon Kidney and Kellay Kidney, and their children.
