Doris Suran

Mrs. Doris Collins Suran, age 86, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born June 30, 1932. Mrs. Suran was a Douglas County native. She was the first female member of The Douglasville Chamber of Commerce. She was very well respected in the real estate industry. She was known for her honesty and integrity and worked in the tax assessor’s office for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church Douglasville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gust A. Suran Jr.; son, James (Jim) C. Suran, parents, Hubert and Alice T. Collins.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wade Gibbs; brother, C.D. “Buddy” Truitt; granddaughter and husband, Glenna E. and Mike James and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville at 2:00 PM. She will lie in state from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
