Mrs. Doris Matlock Wilkes, age 85, of Bremen, passed away, Wednesday, September 10, 2014. She was born November 21, 1928 in Giles County, TN the daughter of the late Mr. Smith E. Matlock and the late Mrs. Mary Henson Matlock. She was a homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wilkes; brother, William C. Matlock; son-in-law, John Campbell.She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Linda and James Matthews of Temple and Susan W. Campbell of Bremen; five grandchildren, Rich and Tina Campbell of Temple, Rob and Jamie Campbell of Fruithurst, Al, Ryan Matthews of Charleston, SC, Blake and Amanda Matthews of Albany, Brett and Krissy Matthews of Powder Springs; six great-grandchildren, Ryanna Matthews of Temple, Adleyn Matthews of Albany, Anna Kate Matthews of Albany, Brady Matthews of Powder Springs, Noah Matthews of Powder Springs, Ryanna Aaron Campbell of Fruithurst, AL; step-great-grandchildren, Kevin Blackmon of Temple and Jamison Hulsey of Fruithurst, AL. Three close friends, Carol Holden, Lawrence Douglas and Charlotte Graham all of TN.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside Services will be conducted Friday, September 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM Eastern time, from the Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, TN with Mr. James Matthews and Mr. Rich Campbell speaking.
