Mrs. Dorothia Adams Davis Long, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 27, 1924 in Andrews, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Mr. Garland Winslow Adams, Sr. and the late Mrs. Spray Bradley Adams. She was a member of Brookhaven Baptist Church in Atlanta and she worked as a bookkeeper in the furniture industry. She was an avid round dancer and square dancer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Long; and brothers, Raymond Adams, Garland W. Adams, Jr. and David Price Adams, III. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Danny Willis of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Karen Davis of Snellville and Ben and Ellen Davis of Lawrenceville; sisters, Bernice Lloyd and Addie Capriotti both of Robbinsville, North Carolina; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park Mausoleum, 201 Mt. Vernon Highway NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 with Dr. James Coldiron officiating.
