Dorothy Elizabeth Smith

Dorothy Elizabeth Smith, 63, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. Mrs. Smith was born September 12, 1944 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Joseph Malone and Geneva Kilgore Malone. Mrs. Smith was employed with the Atlanta Journal Constitution for over twenty years. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Malone and J.R. Malone; and sister, Kay Malone. In addition to her mother, other survivors include loving husband of twenty years, Bill Monroe Smith, Sr.; daughters, Karen Fielding of Cedartown, and Angie Horsley of Villa Rica; son, Terry Steve George of Villa Rica; sisters, Margaret Gallman of Temple, and Joyce Phillips of Sandmill; brother, Earl Malone of College Park; two step children, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Billy Ray Cleveland and Rev. Carlin Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
