Mrs. Dorothy Gibson Gilreath, age 69, of Villa Rica, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. She was born May 11, 1947 in Cobb County, the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Gibson and the late Mrs. Lessie Lucille Hasford Gibson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favorite part of life was her grandchildren. She was a member of Heritage Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Gibson; sister, Jane Ayers; granddaughter, Chelsea Liana Gilreath; son-in-law, Michael Hancock. She is survived by her husband, James F. Gilreath of Villa Rica; daughter, Rebecca Hancock of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Tiffany D. Gilreath of South Carolina, Tommy and Tiffany M. Gilreath of Villa Rica; sister, Gladys Wilbanks of Cartersville; eight grandchildren, Shaylyn Gilreath of Griffin, Austin Gilreath of South Carolina, Kazley-Elizabeth Gilreath of South Carolina, Ashley Hancock of Villa Rica, Blane Hancock of Villa Rica, Andrew Gilreath of Villa Rica, Tori Gilreath of Villa Rica, Weston Gilreath of Villa Rica; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Hancock of Villa Rica, Michael Jay Hancock of Villa Rica, and Alyssa Gentry of Villa Rica; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Gilreath and Rev. Clay Pawley officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Mr. Tim Gilreath. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
