Dorothy Mae Bragg Shead

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Bragg Shead, age 82, of Temple, passed away, Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was born August 16, 1937 in Douglas County, the daughter of the late Mr. Bartow Bragg and the late Mrs. Ola Mae Brown Bragg. Mrs. Shead was a mill worker for many years. She enjoyed quilting and doing word search puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Shead; son Timothy Scott Shead; sisters, Frances Loggins and Stella Ayers; brother, Thomas Braggs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Wayne Davis of Temple, Angela Harper of Temple; sons, Jody Shead of Temple, Jim Shead of Temple; brother, J.T. Bragg of Douglasville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM fro m the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Simpson officiating.
