Dorothy Nell Crowe Barber

Mrs. Dorothy Nell Crowe Barber, 69, of US Highway 278 East, Piedmont, Alabama, formerly of Villa Rica, passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville, Alabama. She was born August 16, 1935, in Fulton County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Crowe and the late Christine Elsie McCormick Crowe. Mrs.Barber was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Polk County, Georgia. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dillard Barber. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and John Silvey of Piedmont, Alabama; son, Allan Silvey of Otchee, Alabama; sisters, Elwanda Scarsberry of Cottonwood, Arizona, Clara Lee Dean of Piedmont, Alabama, Mary Ellis and Laura Bell Sargent, both of Mableton, and Margaret Loner of Texas; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. W. S. Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Polk County, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, June 15, 2005, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday, June 16, 2005 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM.
