Dorothy Seals

Mrs. Dorothy Allen Seals, age 89, of Villa Rica, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born January 6, 1925 in Byromville, Dooly County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. George Parker Allen and the late Mrs. Elfie Aline Chance Allen. She held various positions in the office at Villa Rica Medical Clinic for several years. She published two books, God Gave Me A Pen and To God Be The Glory. She was known for her poetry and penned several poems. Mrs. Seals wrote a religious column for the local newspapers for years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the JOY Sunday School Class.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Julius Grady Parrish who passed away, February 22, 1944 and her second husband, Billy Max Seals who passed away January 12, 2007; her daughter, Judith “Judie” Ann Seals Bailey; sisters, Frances Allen Barber and Sarah Allen; brothers, Charles Edward Allen, Albert Allen and Luther Allen.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Seals (Thomas) Wix of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Julius Allen (Judy) Parrish of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Agnes and Lee Lamanac of Woodstock; five grandchildren, Brandon Wix of Villa Rica, Todd and Carol Parrish of Carrollton, Derek and Tracy Parrish of Monroe, Ginger and Phil Young of Villa Rica and Mary Parrish of Newnan; four great- grandchildren, Autumn Parrish, Austin Parrish, Alexandra Parrish, and Avery Parrish of Monroe. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM from First Baptist Church of Villa Rica with Dr. Kevin Williams and Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Julius Parrish. Interment will follow in the Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
