Mrs. Dorothy âDotâ Burdette Wilson, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. She was born January 6, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Oscar James Burdette and the late Mrs. Alma Chapman Burdette. She was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dallas. She worked at Uptown Pharmacy and General Electric Company. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a friend to all who knew her. She was a woman after Godâs own heart and devoted much of her time to praying for others. She was compassionate and loved to talk about the Word of God and praised the Lord for His many blessings. Miss Dot was well loved by her friends and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George William Wilson on March 4, 2006; and her only child, William Gregory Wilson on October 31, 2006. Visitation at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at Georgia Memorial Park, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060 with Rev. Mike Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.
