Dorsen "Shorty" Tipton

Mr. Dorsen “Shorty” Tipton, 84, of Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was born December 9, 1929 in Morganton, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Fred Tipton and the late Mrs. Florence Tipton. He worked as a welder and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Temple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Elizabeth Wilson Tipton. He is survived by one son and a daughter-in-law, John and Sheila Tipton of Temple; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Sue Tipton, Christina Tipton, and Courtney Tipton; one great-grandchild, Tyler Tipton. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be conducted Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. Doug Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in the Garden of the Cross.
