Mr. Walter Douglas Gray, 61, of North Ave. Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at home following an extended illness. He was born December 6, 1944 in Aiken, South Carolina. The son of the late Walter D. Gray and the late Belle Kirkland Gray. He was a builder and contractor for 25 years and owner of Villa Builders. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and Served in the Army National Guard for 8 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in South Carolina and also the Scottish Rite of Atlanta Georgia. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife Brenda Gail Driver Gray of Villa Rica; two sons and daughters-in-law Phillip and Carmen Gray of Hope Hull, AL and Randall and Beth Rutledge of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Noel Nichols of Warrenville, South Carolina; one brother, Michael Gray of Windsor, South Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Taylor Gray, Madison Gray and Sydney Rutledge; one nephew, David L. Nichols of Warrenville, South Carolina. Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, July 2, 2006, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Steven Keller and Ed Driver officiating. In lieu of Flowers: contributions may be made to the Medical Expense Fund at 523 North Ave. Villa Rica, Georgia 30180. The family will be receiving friends at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica from 12 noon until 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2006.
