Douglas Hubert Ethridge, Sr.

Mr. Douglas Hubert Ethridge, 72 of N. Villa Road, Villa Rica, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. He was born December 2, 1936 in Fulton County, Georgia the son of the late Hubert Lucius Ethridge and the late Mrs. Edna Jordan Etheridge. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Beulah F&AM Lodge #316. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Mrs. Marie Pope Ethridge of Villa Rica; daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey and Jason Weaver of Temple and Cynthia and Mike Gentry of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug Hubert Ethridge, Jr. of Atlanta and Mark Lucius and Delaine Ethridge of Villa Rica; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Wayne Landmon, Rev. James Biddy and Mr. Mark Ethridge officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Ms. Debi Parks. Interment will be Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the New Hope Cemetery in Villa Rica with Masonic Honors graveside. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
