Dura Lee Ward

Mrs. Dura Lee Pollard Ward, age 91, of Temple, passed away, Wednesday, March 11, 2020. She was born February 6, 1929 in Bremen the daughter of the late Mrs. Thomas Aaron Pollard and Mrs. Pearl Johnson Pollard. Mrs. Ward enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning food, crocheting, cross-stitching and loved her dogs. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren most of all. Mrs. Ward was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Griffin; brothers, Lloyd Pollard, Hoyt Pollard, Bobby Pollard; sisters, Eva Mooney, Lois Austin, Barbara Frasier. She is survived by her son Jerry Wayne Brawley of Temple; grandchildren, Jeremy Shane and Rikki Brawley of Villa Rica; Jerry Brawley, Jr. of Woodstock; great grandchildren, McKinze Schroeder, Heather Schroeder, Taylor Brawley, and Kiya Brawley; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Reno Olds officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
