Dura Louise Boyd

Mrs. Dura Louise Boyd, age 82, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, January 10, 2011. She was born August 20, 1928 in the Fairplay Community of Douglas County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Linton Boyd and the late Mrs. Myrtus Byram Boyd. She retired as the Vice President of Operations for the Bank of Villa Rica following 39 devoted years. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Villa Rica where she was actively involved in the WIC (Women in Church) Ministry. She was devoted to her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed attending ballgames of her son, Randy and grandsons, Stephen and Jonathan. She was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Carter and Dora Boyd. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dewana Boyd of Villa Rica; two grandsons and their wives, Stephen and Addie Boyd and Jonathan and Dawn Boyd; four great-grandchildren, Aidan, Eli, Allyssa, and Cara; niece, Charlene Brewton and her husband, Gwinette of Mableton; several cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
