E. C. Pennington

E.C. Pennington, age 80 of Temple, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1929 the son of the late Mr. Charlie Pennington and Mrs. Annie Lee Yarbrough Pennington. He was a self-employed farmer for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Mike Pennington. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Pennington of Temple; daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Elliot Sumner of Morganton, NC, Joyce Lynch of Port St. Lucie, FL.; sons and daughter-in-law, Virgil Wayne and Donna Johnson of Lilburn, Eddie Carl Pennington of Bremen, Michael Lee Pennington of Temple; sisters, Eloise Cantrell of Pickens, SC., Grace Pennington of Homestead, FL.; brothers, Dupree Pennington of Vernon, AL., Walter Pennington of Ft. Pierce, FL.; eleven grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, June 4, 2010 at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Shae Tallent officiating.
