Earl Eugene Smith

Mr. Earl Eugene Smith, 80, of Brown Street, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, December 30, 2005 at Portsbridge Hospice in Austell, Georgia following an extended illness. He was born October 17, 1925 in Douglas County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Willie Smith and the late Minnie Davis Smith. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith. He worked for ten years for the Atlanta Metallic Casket Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brother Jesse Smith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Murlene Strickland Smith of Douglasville; his daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Diane King of Douglasville and Judy Louise and Walter Ray Tucker of Marietta; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Jean Smith of Fairburn and Larry James Smith of Douglasville; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral services for Mr. Earl Eugene Smith will be conducted Monday, January 2, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, GA with Mr. Norman Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Ray Scott Smith, David Smith, Randy Rogers, Ray Tucker, Jimmy Adams and Bobby Adams.
