Mr. Earl William Smith, Jr., 81, of Winston, Georgia passed away Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born April 28, 1933 in Ridgeland, South Carolina the son of the late Mr. Earl William Smith, Sr. and the late Mrs. Edith Horton Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Browse A Bit for 32 years, which specialized in cemetery flowers. He also worked for the Atlanta News Agency. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Temple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorine âDodyâ Chase Smith. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Earl William Smith III and his wife, Darlene Haggy of Powder Springs and Jack Edward Smith of Winston. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Graveside Services will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Ridgeland Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
