Mr. Edmond E. Scogin, Jr. 53, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday November 12, 2007 at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, Georgia. He was born September 27, 1954 in Fulton County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Edmond E. Scogin, Sr. and Nancy Charlene McDougal Scogin Black of Adairsville. He served in the United States Air Force. He married Kathryn Elizabeth Yawn on July 19, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Scogin was self employed and of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Plumbers Pipefitters Local Union # 72. He was an avid fisherman and a NASCAR fan. Mr. Scogin was a loving husband and father and enjoyed his time spent with his family. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kathryn Elizabeth Scogin; daughter, Kori Leighanne Scogin, three sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Edmond Scogin, Joshua Erik and April Scogin and Colby Allen Scogin all of Douglasville; his mother, Nancy Charlene Black of Adairsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Nanci Cason and Elaine and Mike Hamner all of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, Rodney Scogin and Chris Scogin both of Adairsville and Randy Black of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter; Carolina Rose Scogin; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday November 16, 2007, at 1:00PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, November 15, 2007, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
