Edna Bullard, age 85, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on April 8, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1940 in Douglasville, Georgia to the late Mr. James Hallman and the late Mrs. Frances Bartlett Hallman.
Edna lived life with an outgoing, friendly, and caring manner that endeared her to everyone around her. Those fortunate enough to know Edna remember her not only for her warmth but for the joy she found in simple pleasures.
She enjoyed visiting casinos and often, she could be found at the Woodie Fite Senior Center, engaging with fellow friends she called her buddies. Edna also had a love for puzzle books.
Edna’s family was the center of her universe, and she treasured the time spent in their company above all else. Her outgoing personality made her a beloved companion to many.
In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Bullard; brother, Charlie Hallman; and sister, Shirley Truitt.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Tom Ashley; sister-in-law, Gail Hallman; nieces, Cheryl (Alan) Harris, Traci (Greg) Houser, and Angela (Billy) Grizzard; nephews, Mitch Nettles, Chad (Jennifer) Hallman, and Steve Truitt; grand-nephew, Drake Nettles; as well as extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Charlie Jones officiating.
Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville, Georgia. The following will serve as pallbearers: Mitch Nettles, Drake Nettles, Billy Grizzard, Steve Truitt, Chad Hallman, Greg Houser, and Alan Harris.
