Edna Frances Otwell

Mrs. Edna Frances Otwell, age 91, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away October 31, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Bremen, Georgia on September 13, 1918 to the late Elijah Reid and the late Ida Nancy Dobson Reid. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a sales clerk for W.T. Grant and Kmart. Mrs. Otwell was involved in outreach, and served as a Sunday School teacher at Beulah Baptist Church. Mrs. Otwell was preceded in death by her husband Cleo Theodore (“C.T”) Otwell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Elaine and Clinton Bondurant of Senoia; sons and daughters-in-law Ted and Ann Otwell of Douglasville, Donald and Yvonne Otwell of Bryceville, Florida, Rodney and Marcia Otwell of High Point, North Carolina; sister, Nell Bell of Bremen; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Reid of Bremen, and Grace Reid of Chiefland, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Wayne Bray officiating. The musical selections will be rendered by Terry Pearman. Interment will follow at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 4031 Bankhead Hwy, Douglasville, GA 30134.
