Edna Maureen Sinyard

Mrs. Edna Maureen Sinyard, age 93, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Garden Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center in Douglasville. She was born May 5, 1916 in Carroll County to the late Claude Gilland and the late Mrs. Causby Ayres Gilland. Mrs. Sinyard was a homemaker and a loving aunt to her family. She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Hollis L. Sinyard; a brother, Mr. Ordell Gilland, and a sister, Mrs. Lovelia Connally. She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law Mr. Claude Ovis and Rose Gilland of Memphis, Tennessee, Mr. Willard Vernon Gilland of Douglasville, and Mr. Nelson Vonell Gilland of Fuqua Verina, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Chapel in Douglasville, Rev. Danny Watters, Pastor Wayne Bray, and Rev. Talmadge Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Douglasville Chapel.
