Edna Pollard Marlow

Mrs. Edna Pollard Marlow, age 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Sweetwater Springs Assisted Living in Lithia Springs, Georgia. She was born April 29, 1925 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Ollie Robert Pollard and the late Mrs. Helen Wood Pollard. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Marlow was a member of County Line Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marlow was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bob” Pollard, Billy Pollard and Byron Pollard. She is survived by her husband Mr. Russell Marlow of Douglasville; her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Charlie Walsh of Alpharetta; her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Charmaine Marlow of Douglasville; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Jo Pollard of Austell and Claude and Jean Pollard of Norcross; grandchildren; Sonya and Robert Conn of Douglasville, Stefanie and Mike Nelson of Douglasville, Casey and Connie Marlow of Douglasville and Natalie and Dale Bentley of Douglasville, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor David McLendon and Pastor Jerry Adair officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Marlow, Austin Smith, Robert Conn, Mike Nelson, Dale Bentley and Tim Alley. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, January 16, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
