Edward Bennett

Mr. Edward Lee Bennett, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. He was born August 8, 1946 in Letona, Arkansas the son of the late Mr. Carroll Bennett and the late Mrs. Lottie Campbell Bennett Rogers. He was a member of Northside Church of God. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a welder and then later worked as a security guard for Winn Dixie. He is survived by his wife, Karen Yvonne Land Bennett of Douglasville; daughters, Leslea and Torrey Dudley of LaGrange, NC, Elizabeth Bennett of Douglasville; sons, Matthew Bennett of Cabet, AR, Jacob Bennett and Samuel Bennett both of Douglasville; sisters, Betty Lyons of Judsonia, AR and Barbara and Roger Brewer of Mayflower, AR; half brothers and half sisters, Carroll Edward Bennett, Charles Bennett, Richard Bennett, Lisa Ann Bennett and Barbara Sue Bennett all of Letona, AR; three grandchildren, Miracle, Angel, and Faith; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, September, 9, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment and Graveside service will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
