Edward Francis Holmes, Jr.

Mr. Edward Francis Holmes, Jr., age 57, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Somerville, Massachusetts passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 following an extended illness. He was born January 31, 1952 in Cambridge, Massachusetts the son of Mr. Edward F. Holmes, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Laidler Holmes. He was of the Catholic Faith. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam War. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Debra Ann Daly of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Daly Holmes of Douglasville; son, Edward F. Holmes, III of Massachusetts; his father, Edward F. Holmes, Sr. of Stoneham, Massachusetts; sister, Susan Hyatt of Derry, New Hampshire; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Holmes of Somerville, Massachusetts and William and Mary Holmes of Hyde Park, Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 1:00PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville, Georgia.
