Edward Lee Newell

Mr. Edward Lee Newell, age 53, of Douglasville, Georgia, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, April 15, 2011. He was born April 23, 1957 in Villa Rica, Georgia, the son of Mrs. Ruby Lee Morris Newell and the late Mr. Donald Thomas Newell. He was a member of the Douglas Chapel Church of God in Douglasville. He was a self employed professional flooring technician. He was a skilled deer hunter and built and raced his own drag cars. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Justin Lee and Carmen Newell of Jefferson, GA; his mother, Ruby Lee Morris Newell of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Aubrey Donald and Cynthia Newell of Lula, GA and Kenneth Ronald and Tammy Newell of Muscadine, AL; grandchildren, Jaden Carter Newell, Asa Christian Newell, and Zoe Ciarra Newell; nephews, Jade, Stephen, Koty, and Thomas; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive; special friend, Judy Bejmowicz of Carrollton. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, April 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Douglas Chapel Church of God Cemetery on Hwy 166 in Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
