Edward Parks

Sgt. First Class Edward Jerry Parks, III, age 74 of Temple, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. He was born January 1, 1945, the son of the late Mr. Edward "Ed"Jerry Parks Junior and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Attaway Parks. Sgt. Parks Retired with 35 years of service with the Georgia State Patrol. Mr. Parks was a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Scott Parks; and his brother, Carl Parks.Mr. Parks is survived by his wife, Terri Ward Parks of Villa Rica, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-laws, David Jerry and Beth Parks of Lexington, Kentucky; Brandon Lee and Deanna Pritchett of Auburndale, Florida; mother-in-law, Sue Spake Ward of Temple, Georgia; three grandchildren, Graham and Walker Parks of Lexington, Kentucky and Polly Pritchett of Auburndale, Florida.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with The Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Jeff Powell officiating with full Georgia State Patrol Honors. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
