Edward Joseph Troillet, 84, of Villa Rica, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, June 13, 2026. He was born on January 24, 1942, the son of the late Anthony Henry Troillet, Sr. and the late Mary Clara Worm Troillet.
Edward lived a life marked by commitment, professionalism, and unwavering support for those closest to him. He proudly served his country for four years as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career with the Federal Aviation Administration, dedicating many years as a Regional Inspector. Throughout his tenure, Edward demonstrated exceptional skill and diligence, contributing significantly to advancements in aviation safety and oversight.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Edward was a wonderful husband. He balanced his career with a deep devotion to his loved ones. Edward Joseph Troillet’s contributions to aviation safety and his unwavering dedication to family stand as a testament to a life well-lived.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Minerd; brother, Stephen Troillet; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Joseph and Jean Troillet; great-grandson, Nicholas Grant.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Jennifer Montgomery; sisters, Shirley Ann Wauer and Anita Kay Tucker all of Arkansas; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Carolyn Troillet, David and Lucia Troillet, and Paul and Sun Ok Troillet; grandchildren, Ansley McDonald (Patrick), Kayin Holder, Jon Montgomery, Jr. (Ashley) Chase Montgomery, and William Holder; great-grandchildren, Bryson Martin, Harper McDonald, Kinsley McDonald, Andrew Montgomery, Raiden Montgomery, and Joy Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Deacon Chrys Harkins officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park
