Mrs. Edythe W. Gardner, 88, of Winston, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 16, 1928 the daughter of the late Mr. King Williams and the late Mrs. Ruth Moss. She worked as a professional seamstress, specializing in wedding dresses. She was a member of the Atlanta West Pentecostal Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, O’Neil Vernon Gardner. She is survived by her son, Conrad Gardner of Winston; daughter, Colette McDonald of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Frederick Moss and Ivory Moss; grandchildren, LaTina Gardner-Mays, Conrad R. Gardner, Nicole Jones, Dominick Barber, Mohammed Ahmadieh, James Martinez, Abraham Martinez, Christina Martinez, Dr. Edwin McDonald, Dr. Robert McDonald, Samantha Gardner, Amanda Gardner, L’Vincent Gardner; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Atlanta West Pentecostal Church, 2960 Skyview Dr, Lithia Springs, GA 30122 on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Atlanta West Pentecostal Church with Rev. Darryl Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
