Elaine Blankenship

Mrs. Elaine Christine Chosewood Blankenship, 85 of Douglasville, GA passed away, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Benton House in Douglasville. She was born January 12, 1932 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late Mr. Josh Chosewood and the late Mrs. Nellie Mae Morrow Chosewood. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Raymond “Mac” Blankenship; and a son, Franklin “Frank” Mac Blankenship. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and Ronnie Collier of Alpharetta, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry Blankenship and Johnny and Phyllis Blankenship all of Douglasville, three sisters, five brothers, ten grandchildren, Cindy Robbins, Kim Davenport, Kristi Thursby, Jennifer Mahan, Kari Quarles, Brett Blankenship, Johnny Blankenship, II, Brooke Blankenship, Kelli Warnock, and Alyssa Blankenship; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
