Elaine Emory-Crook

Mrs. Elaine Hammond Emory-Crook, age 72 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019. She was born October 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Mr. Clarence Henry Hammond and the late Mrs. Ruenell Johnson Morgan. Mrs. Emory’s family was her greatest joy and fulfilment, she loved the beach and the mountains. She loved God and prayed faithfully. She retired in Customer Service from Progress Lighting. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Randy Oliff, and brother, Raymond Hammond. She is survived by husband, Walter Lee Crook; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Mark McTyre of Douglasville, Robin and Jack Smith of Temple; step-sons and daughter-in-law, Jason and Missy Crook of Bremen, Josh Crook of Douglasville; sisters and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Keith Burdette of Morrow, Donna Jordan of Middleburg, FL; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Friday, April 5, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
