Eleanor L. Newman

Eleanor L. Newman, 81, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on April 17, 2022. She was born on April 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Toy L. Bishop and the late Cary Nelle Bishop. Eleanor, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and enjoyed the company of her Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked in the Healthcare industry as a nurse for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Everett Bishop, Paul Bishop and Billy bishop and sister, Leah Hammond; Mrs. Newman is survived by husband, James William Newman; her sons, Thomas Newman, Michael and Elizabeth Brook and Anthony Newman; Daughter, Kathleen and David Stevenson; grandchildren, Ellen, James, Chris, Stacey, Andrew, Michelle, and Leigh Ann; 6 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9: 00 AM until 11:00 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel with service following at 11:00 AM with Reverend Charles Gibbs officiating.
