Eleanor Maude Moon

Mrs. Eleanor Maude Moon, age 80, of DeLand, Florida, formerly of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at her residence. She was born December 4, 1928 in Bainbridge, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Carl Sylvester McGlamery and the late Mrs. Arrie Estelle Hatcher McGlamery. Mrs. Moon worked as a caregiver and also retired from Sewell Plastics. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her son, Forrest Allan Porter, her granddaughter, Melissa Karen Herrin and her great grandson, Christopher David Herrin, Jr. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Leonard Faught of Cedartown, Doris Ann Powell of DeLand, Florida and Vickie Lynn McGlamery of Ocala, Florida; her sons, Russell Crone of Villa Rica and Fred Norman Crone of Denton, Texas; her sister, Vera Mae Lokey of Owasso, Oklahoma; 65 grand and great-grand children and one great-great grandchild also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Revs. Jimmy Hatcher and John Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Paulding County, Georgia.
