Elise Watkins Reeves

Elise Watkins Reeves, 73, of Temple, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1952, the daughter of the late James Edward Watkins and the late Catherine Meredith Whitmire Watkins.

Elise was known for her beautiful, kind-hearted spirit, a quality that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted mother and Mimi who loved her family deeply. Elise had a great sense of humor and she loved to laugh.

She was a woman of faith and she found great comfort and inspiration in reading her Bible faithfully. Elise also had a passion for gardening, particularly flower gardens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob Larry Reeves.

She is survived by her children, Tonya and Barry Tidwell of Alabama, Michael Reeves, and Steven Reeves all of Temple; brothers and sisters-in-law, David Watkins of Atlanta, Ricky and Martha Watkins of Monroe, Debbie and Charlie Stoner of Elijay; grandchildren, Brianna Tidwell and Grayson Tidwell; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life service at a later time.
