Elizabeth Bachelor

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Bachelor Mrs. Elizabeth S. “Betty” Bachelor, age 84, of Villa Rica, Georgia, entered the Lord’s presence, Tuesday, October 23, 2012, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born July 12, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Edward D. Stonell and the late Mrs. Claybel Duggins Stonell. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica and participated in Gold Choir. She was a life long homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed. She made great biscuits, pecan pie, and chocolate pound cake. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Lee Bachelor. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert E. Boggs of Boca Raton, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Lisa Bachelor of Duluth, 4 grandchildren, Robert E. and Brenda Boggs of Clermont, FL, Douglas Lee and Angela Boggs of Cheshire, CT, Ansley and Jeremy Acuff of Gainesville, GA and Allison and Travis Snell of Cumming, 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Friday, October 26, 2012 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 26, 2012 at 12:00 PM from West Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Jeff Powell officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, 1483 West Hwy 78, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180 or Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, Georgia 30096.
