Elizabeth Dure

Mrs. Elizabeth Pierre Dure, age 92, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born August 15, 1916 in Haiti the daughter of the late Mr. Charles Pierre and the late Mrs. Rosalie Payen Pierre. She was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Granville Dure and her sisters, Aliane Pierre and Cristiane Pierre. She is survived by her daughters, Luciana Fequire of New York, Francoise Dure of Brooklyn, NY, Fernande Jacinthe of Lithia Springs, GA, Marie A. Dure of Montreal, Canada, and Josline Larece of Orlando, FL; sons, Charles Dure, Francois Dure, and Bernard Dure all of Brooklyn, NY and Remy Dure of Gwinnett County, GA; sisters, Marianne Pierre of Lithia Springs and Tulia Dure of Haiti; 39 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 11:00AM from the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs with Father Carl Zdancewicz officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday December 12, 2008 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.
