Elizabeth Mills

Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Shockley Mills, age 73, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Monday, February 5, 2018. She was born July 26, 1944 in Morristown, TN the daughter of the late Mr. S. Carroll Shockley and the late Mrs. Marjorie Hagg Shockley. She moved to Georgia with her husband in 1972, where they made their permanent home. Mrs. Mills worked as a cashier for Kroger for several years. She was very talented in doing anything from arts and crafts, to sewing and draperies. She was very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darce Douglas Mills; son, James “Jim” L. Mills.She is survived by her son, John Edward Mills of Waco; daughter-in-law, Tonya Mills of Cartersville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Bud Carlyle of Bainbridge, TN, Sue and Alan McConnell of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren, Michael D. and Michelle Mills, Heather and Trey Espy, Brian Mills, and Krista M. Mills; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Mills, Slade Mills, Dana Mills, Ella Mills, Owen Espy, Gabbi Espy, Mason Mills, and Darcee Mills; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Mr. Greg Carlyle officiating.
