Mrs. Ellen Dean Cornelius Hardin, age 81, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at her home. She was born November 18, 1932 in Texarkana, Arkansas the daughter of the late Mr. Wilson Cornelius and the late Mrs. Lillian Robertson Cornelius. She was employed for 23 years at Paradies & Company Wholesale Distribution in Atlanta. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hoyt Hardin and son, Glen Hardin; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Peggy Hardin of Douglasville, GA; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Hollis of Hiram, GA, Mary Ann and Michael Reeves of Seattle, WA, and Sharon and Donnie Burks of Lithia Springs, GA; 8 grandchildren, Brian Reeves of Seattle, WA, Daniel (Meredith) Reeves of Griffin, GA, Joseph Hardin of Dallas, GA, Mary Ellen Reeves-Torres (Jay) of Seattle, WA, Wesley Hardin of Douglasville, GA, Amberly Hollis of Hiram, GA, Jesse Copeland of Kennesaw, GA, and Alisha Hollis of Austell, GA; two step grandchildren, Samantha Hanson of Lithia Springs, GA and Kim Hennesey of Lithia Springs, GA; five great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; twin sister, Jean Barker of South Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend and neighbor, Jack Brewer of Lithia Springs, GA. The body was cremated as she wished. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Brother Steve Armstrong officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 2000 L Street NW, Suite 410, Washington, DC 20036-4916 or the Melanoma Foundation, 1411 K Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005.
