Elna Dobbs Mayfield

Mrs. Elna Faye Dobbs Mayfield, age 85, of Villa Rica, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015. She was born February 15, 1930 in Woodstock the daughter of the late Mr. Eugene Dobbs and the late Mrs. Bertha Roe Dobbs. She was a bookkeeper for Action Glass Company for many years. Mrs. Mayfield loved gardening, cooking and her family. She was of the Methodist Faith.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Malone Mayfield; brothers, Hugh Lee Dobbs and Donald Dobbs; sisters, Ouida Noggle and Roberta Noggle.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Sharon Mayfield of Villa Rica; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Justice of Canton; brother, Byron Dobbs of Canton; one grandchild, Casandra Mayfield; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, June 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Powell Chapel Cemetery in Villa Rica.
