Elsie Lee Davison, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Douglas County, she was born March 19, 1922 in Winston, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Rellie Duncan Lee and the late Mrs. Annie Bird Glass Lee. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston and was a homemaker. She was devoted to her family. She enjoyed quilt making and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Davison; sons, Bobby Davison, Curtis William Davison, and Charles Edward Davison; brother, Lewis Lee and sisters, Annie Ruth Thompson and Mozelle Lee. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and David Mahan of Austell and Martha and Mark Torrey of Powder Springs; her sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Debbie Davison of Douglasville, Donald and Mary Davison of Carrollton, Douglas and Jacque Davison of Anderson, South Carolina, and Larry and Ong Davison of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Miller of Lilburn and Betty Jean and Garland Loudermilk of Alpharetta; brother, Loyd Lee of Hiawassee; sister-in-law, Joan Lee of Smyrna; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, January 27, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston with Brother Bobby McDowell officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Ephesus Cemetery. Following the service, A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held by the family at the Downtown Conference Center, 6701 Church Street, Douglasville, Georgia 30134 on Saturday afternoon from 11:30 AM until 3:00 PM.
