Emily Price

Mrs. Emily Ruth Hardeman Price, 54, of Covington, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. She was born January 5, 1962 in Clarkston, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Jackson Russell Hardeman and the late Mrs. Sarah Margaret Ledford Hardeman. She married Kent S. Price on August 1, 1981 in Douglasville. She worked as a Florist at the Ingles in Covington. She loved gardening, flowers, hummingbirds, and bird watching. She loved to cook and she had a great love for her family, especially her grandson, Eli. She enjoyed traveling and camping in the RV. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kent S. Price of Covington; son, Christopher Price of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Michael Kendall of Hanahan, SC; sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan Hardeman of Calhoun and Lisa and Keith Chambers of Villa Rica; brother and his fiancé, Hugh Hardeman and Teresa Waterbury of South Sioux City, NE; one grandson, Eli James Kendall; nephew, Mason Chambers; father in law and stepmother-in-law, Selby and Judi Price of Douglasville; several extended relatives. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. She will lie in state at the church Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ephesus Cemetery in Winston with the following serving as pallbearers: Toby Williams, Kevin Price, Van Anderson, Russell Hardeman, and Carl Batson.
