Emily Roberson

Mrs. Emily Nell Steadham Roberson, age 97, of Villa Rica, passed away, Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born August 28, 1919 in Temple the daughter of the late Mr. John A. Steadham and the late Mrs. Eva Jordan Steadham. Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Roberson; brothers, James Steadham, Johnny Steadham, Wilton Steadham, Roy Steadham, Louis Steadham; sisters, Sarah Chance and Mary Ward.She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Ann and Edward Elsberry of Villa Rica, Judy Marie and Mike Willis of Temple, Diane and Gary Shadrix of Villa Rica, Fay Whitlock of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Jane Roberson of Dallas, Danny Ray and Linda Roberson of Villa Rica; 18 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 33 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Shadrix officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
