Ernest Austin FieldsMr. Ernest Austin Fields, age 78, of Temple, passed way, Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born June 11, 1939 in Carroll County the son of the late Mr. Walter William Fields and the late Mrs. Mattie Louisa Martin Fields. Mr. Fields served in the United States Navy for 20 years. He served on the board of Carroll EMC for many years. Mr. Fields was an Artist, drawing, painting and doing sculpture. He loved working on cars, fishing and most of all his family.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kimberly Harrison.He is survived by his wife, Frances Rebecca Harmon Fields of Temple; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Golden of Temple; Cindy and Guy Cruse of Temple, Debbie and Deke Harrison of Temple, Tammy and Sonny Gilchrist of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hannah Fields of Temple; sister, Reba Maner of Villa Rica; brothers and sister-in-law, Gerald Fields of Villa Rica, Kenneth and Susan Fields of Temple; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Candace, Brad, Adam, Brooke, Trey, Michael, and Miranda; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rackley and Rev. Joey Dedman officiating.
