Jane Owens

Ester Jane Owens, 63, of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1959. She is the daughter of late RB Bowen and the late Evelyn Elizabeth Martin Bowen

Jane loved her family and had a special love for her grandbabies. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and to the mountains. She had a passion for gardening, especially yellow roses. She was a dedicated bus driver for the Villa Rica School District and a long time driver for the Villa Rica High School Marching Band.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Myers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Scott Jones of Douglasville, Georgia and daughter Wendy Owens of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Loretta Gregory of Woodland, Alabama, Dale Meadows of Villa Rica, Georgia, Lynn and Kenny Hutson of Ball Ground, Georgia, Cathy Turner of Douglasville, Georgia, and Tammie Cole of Carrollton, Georgia; brother, Randy Bowen of Villa Rica, Georgia; six grandchildren, Izak, Alex, Matthew, Annabelle, Wyatt, and Quinn; former husband Terry Owens; numerous nieces and nephews survive.

The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel at 1:00 PM with Barry Golden officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
