Mrs. Ethel Ruth Arnold, age 59, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born January 18, 1954 in Temple, Georgia the daughter of Mr. Hulett Amos Arnold, Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Kate Billings Arnold. She served in the United States Army serving in the Desert Storm and the Desert Shield. Mrs. Arnold was also an educator, who taught for more than 20 years in the surrounding counties and retired in 2009 from Douglas County High School. She was a member of the GAE and CEC. She was a member of the Poplar Spring United Methodist Church in Sand Hill where she served as the church secretary. She was also a forester parent.She is preceded in death by her brother, Albert Moses Arnold.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Justin and Jasmine Arnold of Temple; parents, Ruby Kate Arnold and Hulett Amos Arnold, Sr. of Temple; sister, Ella Virginia Kendricks of Temple; brother, Hulett Amos Arnold, Jr. of Sand Hill; grandchild, Sidney Porter. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with Military Honors. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
