Mrs. Etta Brown Rose, 101, of Powder Springs, Georgia, formerly of Temple, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Brian Center Nursing Care in Powder Springs, Georgia. She was born November 13, 1904 in Paulding County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Frank Brown and the late Mrs. Emma Wester Brown. Mrs. Rose worked as a laboratory technician for Abbott Laboratories. She was the third generation owner of Roseâs Store, a Paulding County landmark. Mrs. Rose was a member of Yorkville Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia. In addition to his parents, Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mr. Homer D. Rose, her son, Jesse Lee Rose and her sisters, Susie Proctor, Lillian Burnette and Minnie Moody. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Glen Morrow and Rev. Earnest Fennell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne Cole, Jon Cole, Kevin New, Jeff Hollis, Dana New and Jimmy Hanna. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Rockmart, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
