Etta Mae Walker

Etta Mae Walker, 83, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. She was born on September 29, 1943, the daughter of the late William Haney Malloy and the late Tilley Martin Malloy.

Etta was known as a caretaker in the truest sense of the word. She devoted herself to caring for others, especially within her own family, and gave loving attention to her mother, father, and other relatives. She worked as a CNA for nearly eight years, offering comfort and care to those who needed it. She came from a talented musical family, and music was part of her life in a special way. Etta could play the drums and the bass, reflecting both her family’s musical roots and her own abilities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lester Walker; daughter, Barbara Middleton; eleven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earnest and Cindy Ritchie of Villa Rica, Georgia, Lee and Sherry Ritchie of Traskwood, Arkansas, and Bryan and Julie Ritchie of Greenville, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date in Arkansas.

Etta Mae Walker will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to family, and the many ways she shared her strength and compassion with others. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
