Eugene Griggs

Mr. Eugene Franklin Griggs, 83, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. He was born January 11, 1934 in Douglas County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Henry Franklin Griggs and the late Mrs. Eva Luciella Brawner Griggs. He retired from the State of Georgia as a Field Agent. He was a member of Lighhouse Full Gospel Church in Winston. He is survived by his wife, Meldred Laura Lyle Griggs of Douglasville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dixie Harris and Tom Clark of Atlanta, Gina and Mitchel Rainey of Kathleen, GA and Karen and Wayne Rigby of Bonaire, GA; sister, Betty Stanley of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Kevin Rainey, Lauren Rainey, Steven Rainey, Lindsey Rigby, and Dillon Rigby; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Rigby, Kendall Rigby, and Athena Rainey; niece, Lisa Edwards of Cumming; several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, March, 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
