Eunice McElroy

Mrs. Eunice Smith McElroy, age 69, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at WellStar Douglas Hospital. She was born June 9, 1942 in Alpharetta, Georgia the daughter of the late Cleon B. and Audrey Kilgore Smith. She retired from Young Refining Corporation after 44 years of service. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville where she attended the Auditorium Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, James L. McElroy of Douglasville; stepdaughter, Tina (Jeff) Bennett; stepsons, Jerry McElroy and Scott (Kathy) McElroy all of Arab, AL; two sisters, Cheryl S. (Richard) Waggoner of Fayetteville, TN and Helen S. (John) Begarly of Spring Hill, TN; brother, Jimmy L. (Kay) Smith of Woodbine; 6 step grandchildren; 3 nieces, Audrey (Daniel) Wooten, Amanda (Cario) Livingston, and Aleah (Zack) Moulton; 1 nephew, Brandon Begarly; and three great-nieces, Aisleigh, Anniston, and Elizabeth. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Muscadine, Alabama. The following will serve as pallbearers: Ira Dowda, Louis Easterwood, Stanley Dowda, Anthony Easterwood, Justin Dowda, and Brandon Begarly.
