Mrs. Eva Myrtis Parris Freeman, age 91, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 14, 1918 the daughter of the late Mr. Monroe Lee Parris and the late Mrs. Artie Myrtie Carver Parris. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Douglasville and was a homemaker. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed singing. She is survived by her husband, Charles Freeman of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Gale and Philip Moody of Griffin and Dawn Freeman and James Brown of Douglasville; brothers, John T. Parris of Mableton and Charlie Parris of Austell; grandchildren, Leah Goen, Desiree Cook and Nicole Finley; great-grandchild, Payton Goen; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
